Ena (Ana) Yanchapaxi

Architectural Designer | AIA Associate | MSAUD Candidate at UCLA | MDI – Real Estate & Construction Management
I am an Architectural Designer with over 12 years of experience in residential and institutional architecture, as well as real estate development, with international training in Mexico, Spain, Ecuador, and the United States. I have led the development of single-family, multi-family, and institutional housing projects for more than 15 private clients, integrating data analysis, architectural conceptualization, advanced 3D modeling, construction documentation, and high-quality rendering.
I bring a strategic, cross-cultural, and resilient profile that enables me to lead diverse teams, adapt quickly to changing contexts, and deliver thoughtful, context-sensitive design solutions under pressure. Organized, innovative, and results-driven, I communicate clearly, anticipate challenges, and optimize workflows to consistently meet deadlines.
Currently, I am pursuing the MSAUD at UCLA, a STEM-designated program, and will graduate in June 2025. I was awarded a Recruitment Fellowship granted to the program’s most outstanding applicants. As part of this program, I have developed projects focused on affordable housing, wildfire-resilient design strategies, landscape regeneration, and socially responsive urban design. My teaching background and critical thinking approach allow me to contribute not only through design, but also through deeper urban, social, and environmental inquiry.
